On Monday we had the privilege of hosting Dr. Pearson from EyeSee Clinic for on-site eye exams. In just one day, he completed 14 comprehensive eye exams, and all of these students will be receiving new glasses in the coming weeks!

This partnership is important to our rural community, where accessing specialized healthcare can be challenging. Dr. Pearson's dedication to bringing essential eye care directly to our students removes barriers and ensures every child has the vision support they need to succeed in the classroom.

We can't wait to see our 14 soon-to-be bespectacled students rocking their new glasses!

Thank you to Dr. Pearson and the entire EyeSee Clinic team for their commitment to rural education and student health.

Manson High School FFA hosted 24 teams from 10 schools for last Friday’s District 7 Apple Judging Competition. Big thanks to the Cochran family and all our volunteers for helping run stations from apple varieties to grading, blemishes, entomology, pressure testing, and more.

Top Teams:
1st – Cashmere
2nd – Chelan
3rd – Wenatchee
12th – Manson (up from last year!)

Students also got to meet industry pros, including representatives from the Dept. of Agriculture, Ag Hawk Dynamics, and Crunch Pak—who generously provided snack packs for all participants.

Great learning, great teamwork, and a great day for our FFA students!

On a field trip to Cider Press, our first graders learned about apple preservation, discovered how apples are selected for sale in stores, and hand-picked a variety of apples to be pressed. Students helped press the apples themselves and filled their very own jugs of fresh cider to take home and share with their families.

Such a fun fall learning experience!

Students in Mrs. Gosvener's Agriculture class — along with a few who volunteered for community service hours —have been getting things done in our school vineyard this fall.

They recently spent the day pruning vines and tying them to the trellises to help train them to grow in the right direction. A few students even spotted small clusters of grapes starting to form!

With all this care and teamwork, we’re hopeful that we’ll be able to harvest and even sell some grapes in the next year or two. We're proud of their effort and look forward to what’s ahead!

Preparing for Winter Weather

When snow or ice is in the forecast, here’s what to expect at Manson schools:

Our maintenance team will clear and salt main entrances and walkways first — by 7:15 AM at both schools. Please use the main entrances until all areas are treated, wear shoes with good traction, and be careful on slick spots. If you notice an area that needs attention, let the office or maintenance team know.

Thank you for helping us keep our campus safe during winter weather!

On November 5, Manson High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended the North Central Region FBLA Fall Leadership Conference at Wenatchee Valley College. Students were inspired by a keynote speaker who challenged them to elevate their leadership and think like future business professionals.

Throughout the day, members attended a variety of workshops ranging from “How to Build Your Professional Network” to “Parliamentary Procedure.” These experiences helped students strengthen their skills and prepare for upcoming competitions.

Our FBLA members are now hard at work getting ready for the FBLA Winter Leadership Competition on January 31 at Eastmont High School.
