Planning for the future of Manson schools starts with our community.
Last night, our new Community Facilities Task Force held its first meeting, and we're excited to share that the work is officially underway!
Roughly 20 community members, parents, and staff came together to tour Manson Elementary, meet one another, and start shaping a long-range facilities plan that will guide how we maintain and support our school buildings for years to come.
A few highlights from the evening:
Members toured Manson Elementary and noted that while the building is aging, it has been exceptionally well maintained The group recognized the District's strong track record of securing state and energy grants, funding HVAC upgrades, energy-efficient lighting, video surveillance, improved bus loading areas, and site drainage fixes Robin Bloch was elected Chairperson and Tony Zuluaga was elected Vice-Chair
What's next? The Task Force will deliver its final recommendation to the District by February 22, 2027. Between now and then, they'll tour the secondary campus, review the District's facility condition report, and most importantly gather input from staff, families, and community members like you. A huge thank you to the volunteers giving their time to this work. This is community-led planning in the truest sense.
