Pledge to Community: My pledge to the community is to continue to ensure that the Manson School District provides students a positive learning environment, as well as an academically challenging educational opportunity, so they can compete in an ever-changing world economy, by continuing to provide quality educational leadership and educators.
Professional Experience: : Aurora has worked as a paraeducator, a community liaison, a banking operations officer, a school district finance manager and an auditor for the state. Currently, Aurora is an academic counselor for the Omak School District WAVA program.

Outside Interests: Aurora has chaired the Manson Apple Blossom Festival, is a member of Business and Professional Women and a past member of the Washington State School Directors' Multi-cultural Advocacy Team. She is the district's Legislative Representative. Most recently, Aurora was elected to the Washington State School Directors Association Board of Directors for Director Area 7. Aurora enjoys reading John Grisham books, cooking and crocheting.
Personal Information: Aurora has been married to her husband Balentin for more than 40 years. They moved to Manson in 1987 and have four children. They are Gabriel, a WSU and San Diego Golf Academy graduate, AnnMarie, a WWU graduate, Jaime, an Edmonds Community College graduate and entrepreneur, and Valerie, a graduate from the University of Washington (makes for an interesting Apple Cup game).
