There was a strong showing from the Manson FFA this year at the Chelan County Fair. Manson FFA had 18 FFA members attend including: Isabella Harris, Van Keough, Jesus Tores, Alicia Mogan, Bryce Mogan, Hanna Lyman,Carter Lyman, Colby Schoenwald, Tanner Schoenwald, Magie Gosvenor, Abby Smith, Finn Smith, Ellie Smith, Isabella Alexander, Lacey Mclanahan, Yanitza Farias, Mallory Shumway, and Bailey Evans. In the sheep division Isabella received a red ribbon for market and fitting and showing in the lamb division. In the goat division Bailey had the grand champion goat in market class and was reserve grand champion in fitting and showing putting her in the round robin for fitting and showing of all species. In the FFA horse division Abby Smith received 3 blue ribbons, 7 reds and one white along with one reserve Grand Champion. In the swine division, Van Keough placed second in his class and was a call back for the finals along with 2 blue ribbons. Jesus received 2 blue ribbons, Alicia received 2 blues, Bryce received 2 blues, Hanna received two blues, Carter received two blues, won his class and was in the finals for grand champion market and was reserved grand champion for fitting and showing. Colby received two blue ribbons, Tanner brought home two blues, Maggie received two blues, Finn, received two blues, Ellie brought home 2 blues, Lacey also brought home 2 blue ribbons, and Yantiza received two ribbons for her market swine project.
In the judging contest, Manson placed 1st 2nd and 3rd in poultry judging, 4th in livestock, and 4th in horse judging, Manson FFA would like to thank all the parents, teachers, school administrators, and community members that supported us this year. What a great showing at fair!
