Pledge to Clients: As an educator at Manson Elementary School, I promise to nurture, encourage and challenge all of my students and to celebrate their succceses. I will do everything that I can so that they achieve academic success. I love being a teacher and building relationships with my students in order to develop mutual trust and respect with each one of them. I will help them be the best that they can be!
Professional Experience: My first teaching job was in Entiat School District where I taught K-12 ESL and Spanish for six years. I had several long-term substitute positions, along with summer school for both Chelan and Manson School Districts. I have been a substitute teacher in Manson for about ten years. This year I will be teaching First Grade.
Education: I grew up in the Lake Chelan Valley and graduated from Chelan High School. I went on to earn my Associate of Arts degree at Big Bend Community College. Then, I transferred to Central Washington University and received my Bachelor of the Arts degree with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish.
Outside Interests: I enjoy being at the beach, suntanning, reading, traveling and boating. I especially love spending time with my family and friends. We are all big Seahawk fans!
Personal Information: My husband Sam and I have lived in Manson for about 20 years. We love the people, school and community here and would not raise our family anywhere else. We have a daughter, Verna, and three boys Cole, Caden and Calin. We love watching movies together, camping, boating, and fishing. My favorite thing to do is watch my boys participate in all of their activities and plays sports!
