Professional Experience: Michelle has worked for the Manson School District since 1995. She has worked as a paraeducator substitute, office secretary, and since 1998, a reading tutor.

Outside Interests: Spending time with her family, gardening, scrapbooking, quilting and reading

Personal Information: Michelle is married to her best friend Kevin. They have two children who graduated from Manson Secondary School. Their daughter Nikki lives in Manson with two adorable "littles", Wyatt and Rylee. She is currently the GEAR-Up Site Director for Brewster School District. Their son Lil' Kevin graduated from Eastern Washington University and is a CPA for Peterson/Sullivan LLP in Seattle-he recently married Allison Burbak of Seattle. The Medveds moved to the Chelan Valley in 1994.

Pledge to Clients: In my role as Post-Secondary Coordinator, I hope to provide the opportunities our students need to help them explore all post-secondary options. Our MHS Internship Program will give them an experience in the "real world" and gain a passion for their chosen profession. As a Parent Support Coordinator, I will organize Manson Inc. meetings where our district staff/community can provide relevant information to our families and provide learning opportunities for them as well. My goal is for ALL families in our community to feel welcomed and part of our schools!

Professional Experience: I have over 15 years of experience working with students and their families from middle school ages, until post-secondary level. I have learned so much from the students, their families and my colleagues. I feel blessed to have all these opportunities.

Mr. James Broome

Pledge to Clients:  In my role as the Middle/High school counselor, I hope to provide support, encouragement and hope to students as they work through their academic, social, emotional, family, and mental health struggles.  I also provide tools to help students remove and break down the barriers that keep them from living the life they are meant to live.

Professional Experience:  I have over 15 years of experience working with middle/high school students in many different capacities, as a drug and alcohol counselor, soccer and cross country coach, in local youth ministries, and as a school counselor.

Mr. Jose Fernandez

Professional Experience: After graduating from Wenatchee Valley College, I worked at Chelan Computer Repair for almost nine years. Fixed all kinds of problems on computers and cellphones.

Education: A Manson High School graduate and 2012 graduate of Wenatchee Valley College, earned his Associates Degree in Computer Technology and Networks Administration.  

Personal Information: Mr. Fernández came to the United States in 2002 from Mexico. Graduated from Manson High School in 2008 and went to Wenatchee Valley College. Now lives in Chelan with his wife and loves working for the Manson School District.

Ms. Trista Walters

Pledge to Clients: Every student deserves to be respected and valued as a growing individual with passions and challenges unique to them.  Trista promises to recognize the potential in each student, foster a positive learning environment that dovetails with their learning style, and challenge them to grow not only in their educational experience, but also as a person that will positively contribute to the world around them. 

Professional Experience: Trista has worked at Manson High School and Middle School since 2011. Prior to that she stayed at home and raised her two children while helping with their family business and volunteering in several community and church activities. She has also worked in banking and as an office administrator in the medical field.

Education: Trista graduated from Sprague High School in Salem Oregon.  She has also attended many continuing education courses including a Total Spanish Immersion class through Washington State University’s extension program.

Outside Interests:  Spending time with family and friends, tennis, camping, boating, projecting and interior design.

Personal Information: Trista hails from the great state of Oregon where she met her husband David.  After marrying in 1990 David brought his bride back to his hometown in the beautiful Chelan Valley where they raised their children Davia and Mason.  She says ”There has been no better community in which to raise our family!  As the old saying goes ‘It takes a village’, and I fully believe that this village truly cares.”

Ms. Angel Gosvener

Professional Experience: I worked at a local Nursery for seven years assisting with retail sales and greenhouse operations before joining the Manson School District. In October of 2011, I was hired at Manson School District as a Para for Preschool. I served as a Para for one year before moving into a Preschool teacher role in September of 2012. I taught preschool for two years. September of 2014 I moved over to Manson High School and took a position as a Para in Special Ed. Currently I am still working as a Special Ed Para and I really love working with these students.

Education: I am a 1998 Chelan High School graduate and attended classes at Wenatchee Valley College. I also served a one year term in the Ameri-Corps of Washington, Reading Corp program in Kent, Washington. During my time in Americorps I tutored elementary students in reading during the school year and then organized and carried out a summer reading program for elementary students.

Outside Interests:  Spending time with my family, gardening, exercising, reading, and listening to music.

Personal Information: I am married to Dave Gosvener and we have three daughters, Katie, Maggie and Lilly. We enjoy spending time together as a family and do so often. Dave and I were both raised here in the Manson/Chelan Valley and we are so grateful to be able to raise our daughters here. There is no other place we would rather be.

Professional Experience:  I have been working for about 15 years as an ELL Paraeducator with two years of teaching experience.

Education: I received my AA degree from Wentachee Valley College and  a BA in K-8 Education from Heritage University.  I have endorsements in Bilingual Education, ELL, and Middle level math.

Outside Interests:  I like to garden, fish and enjoy many other outdoor activities.  I enjoy playing basketball and running.

Personal Information:  I am married and we have five children.  I am from Mexico, but have been living the the Chelan Valley for almost 28 years.  I really enjoy this place.
