Miss Kendra Farnsworth

My name is Ms. Kendra Farnsworth and I am a 1st grade teacher at Manson Elementary. I was born and raised just down the valley in Dryden, where my parents and brother still live.  I grew up living the small town life so Manson definitely feels like home. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, hiking, swimming, paddleboarding and going to Manson sporting events.

I went to high school in Leavenworth, and then continued on to Central Washington University where I pursued majors in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. During my time at Central, I was a Lead Student Staff at the Early Childhood Learning Center on campus. I worked with children ages birth- 5. I also did a 6-month practicum in a Kindergarten classroom for my Early Childhood Education degree. I did my student teaching in a 2nd grade classroom in Cashmere. I graduated from CWU in June 2015 and accepted my first teaching job here at Manson soon after. This is my third year at Manson. I've wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember and I have always thought that Manson was a beautiful place so when the opportunity to teach here arose, I jumped at it. Since joining the Manson staff I have taught 3rd and 4th grade, took part in a math curriculum adoption, designed and implemeted a STEM engineering unit with the help of Manson High School science teachers, and coached Varsity softball. I am proud to be part of this amazing community and feel lucky to call Manson my home.

Thank you for visiting our classroom website! We are going to have a great year!
