Education: BA in Elementary Education. Endorsements in Elementary ed and K-12 special ed. MA Reading and Literacy.
Professional Experience: Two years teaching elementary resource room.
Three years in third Grade.
Three years as a second grade teacher.Personal Hobbies: Boating, Camping, Hiking, Spending time with my family.
Goals/Life Motto: Help my students make positive growth and be involved, active and passionate about what they do. "You must do the things you think you cannot do."
Personal Information: Lived in Manson until third grade, then moved to Wenatchee where I graduated. Worked as a firefighter for 5 years and met my husband John in the "group." We have two sons.
I was born in Chelan, Wa and grew up between Manson and Wenatchee. I graduated from Wenatchee High School then Central Washington University. I began my teaching career at Eastmont School District as a special education teacher. I have taught elementary special education, second and third grade. I have been teaching in Manson since 2007. My passion is teaching students who have challenges to identify, understand and overcome.
In my extra time, I have found a creative outlet in owning and helping to run a local family restaurant. I also love spending time with my family and friends exploring and finding new adventures in skiing, biking and hiking and supporting my three children in activities they enjoy.
