Wai Petersen has been hired by the MansonSchool District as the new Parent Involvement/Volunteer Coordinator for the district. Petersen, who graduated from Manson, recently returned back with his family in December, 2009 to begin his position as the new Manson Parks Director.
Petersen shared, “The District is trying to generate more parent engagement in our schools.I believe this is critical if we are going to achieve the highest level of educational success for each student.I look forward to helping create an infrastructure and culture that works well for both parents and the District.”
Petersen is currently forming a planning group and is seeking parents (both English and Spanish speaking) to assist in developing this new parent group structure.
