Lady Trojan Varsity Coach Hill reports….
Once again we hard a hard time getting started, but eventually we got things going and pulled away in the end. We had a hard time hitting the "easy" ones, along with making the free throws. We also found it difficult blocking out the much bigger alumni team.
It was nice to see our team get so many open looks in all of our offenses and inbounds plays, the girls really did a great job of helping each other get open shots all night long. We were also able to play great half court defense tonight, which is a good thing for us, because most of what we do is pressuring full court, but now we know if we have to we can play half court. We were able to win tonight never putting a full court press on! In the past two years we have not been able to do that until tonight.
Cheyanne McFadden had 3 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Veronica Vanderholm had 17 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.
Yessenia Escoto had 6 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 5 steals.
Sierra Miller had 2 points and 3 rebounds.
Angelica Suarez had 6 points.
Thalia Lepley had 3 points and 6 rebounds.
Hailey Ellsworth had 7 rebounds, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals.
Ofelia Rodriguez had 3 steals.
Jackie Guillen had 2 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals.

JJ Miller and Jordan Pittman Up For the Tip Off | Coach Crollard reports….
This was a great game for the Varsity Trojans! They came out of the game right from the start and played hard all 32 minutes. Last year we had problems keeping our intensity for the whole game, but so far this season the guys have really worked at playing every minute as hard as they can. To play against talented players and college kids who are bigger and stronger, and hold our own against them I was very pleased.
We are coming together as a team and trusting each other on the floor. It shows how hard these guys have been working all year. Schuyler Neff had a great game last night and really got our team going and showed confidence like I haven’t seen before. Alex Escalera did a great job of getting his teammates involved and played outstanding defense. Nathan Coggins and Jacob Cleveland dominated the paint in the second half and proved that they are key parts to this team.
I was happy with our rebounding and defensive effort; we only allowed 5 offensive rebounds! I can’t say enough about the chemistry of this team and their willingness to learn and improve every day.
I feel like we are heading in the right direction and will be ready for our first league game Jan. 2nd against Kittitas.
