Manson Elementary PTAC Auction “Fund-A-Fieldtrip”
Raised over $14,000

The first annual Manson Elementary PTCA Auction attended by over 160 people Saturday, November 14 at Banjo Creek Farms was a huge success! The auction raised over $14,300 to pay for fieldtrips, assemblies, and other extended learning opportunities for Manson Elementary students.
Manson Elementary Principal, Heather Ireland shared, “Not only am I excited about the amount of money raised but the phenomenal turn out. This will open so many doors for our students to educational experiences outside of the classroom. Also the staff at Manson Elementary School has expressed to me how pleased they are with the continued dedication and support of our community for our schools.”
Attendees bided on over 80 donated silent auction items, which included theme baskets made by each Manson Elementary teacher and their students prior to the spaghetti dinner. Also auctioned off were 22 desserts and 12 live auction items while being entertained by the Quigley Family Trio.
Some of the "hot" auction items were the fire truck ride to school for your child and three friends donated by the Manson Fire Department. In fact, Fire Chief Arnold Baker offered up a second ride due to the high bidding volume that night.
Dale England's 1 hour plane tour was an even hotter item and he ended up offering 3 separate plane tours!! Those two items alone raised over $2,000.
Another fun event was the auctioning off of desserts during a break in the live auction. The 22 desserts were made and donated by parents and community members and each table pooled their resources and bought a dessert for their table which rose over $850.
PTAC President, Johanna Reed shared, “I was extremely proud of our community, businesses, and individuals who donated to our Fund-A-Fieldtrip auction, as well as all the people who attended! It was a great night for the people of Manson and the Chelan valley to come together for our kids!"
Manson Elementary PTAC would like to thank the many individual donors, the businesses plus Manson School District staff, parents and students that helped support this event.
Special recognition is given to our silver level sponsor Manson Growers and to the Chelan Wal-Mart our bronze level sponsor for insuring the night’s success.
