Welcome to Manson Elementary, home of the Wildcats. Manson Elementary School is located in Manson on the North Shore of Lake Chelan in North Central Washington. Our professional teachers and staff provide a caring environment for more than 300 preschool through sixth graders.
Many changes have occurred since Manson Elementary was built in 1951, with the most recent renovation in 1996. At that time, we installed a modern computer lab, which is an integral part of teaching and learning in our school.
Manson Elementary staff and students are very proud of our school.
The future Class of 2021 was honored at their Kindergarten Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday, June 10th in the elementary library to a full house. Principal, Heather Ireland welcomed the guests and congratulated the kindergarten graduates. Music director, Andrea Whitney led the students in performing The Itsy Bitsy Spider and I’m a Little Tea Pot. The students then received their diplomas by their teachers.

Elementary teachers introduced to new Math Connects program
On June 11, 2009 Manson Elementary teachers met with a Math Connects Trainer to learn about implementation of the newly adopted math program for PreK-5th grade. This initial training allowed teachers the opportunity to see all the components of the program as well as introduce strategies for effective implementation. Math Connects instructional materials are strongly aligned to our recently revised state standards in mathematics.The program offers a great deal of technology support to parents, students and teachers. With a diversity of learners at Manson Elementary, each lesson is complete with differentiation and extensions to assist teachers in better meeting the needs of all students.
The staff is excited for the continuity that this program will provide for all students. The new materials will arrive in mid July and students will begin using them when they return to school on September 1.
